Black forest cake is the Pompi version of the original cake, handcrafted in Pompi bakery. Our Italian version combines a rich cocoa sponge cake with Fabbri® black- cherries, drops of kirsch – alcohol, a simple whipped cream frosting and the Italian Gianduja chocolate chips. The Gianduja is a sweet Italian chocolate spread with 30 % hazelnut paste, made in Turin and really appreciated by Napoleons.
This cake is a great dessert, tea time perfect treat or the right celebration cake that never fails to please.
The Black Forest Cake
The black forest cake is subject to blasting chilling to preserve the freshness of dessert. On request, you can add some fresh berries on top and handwritten message on top when ordering online.
Recommendations for storage
Once the cake is +5° C must be kept only in the fridge at a positive temperature (4°-5° C) and will last for 2-3 days max. The black forest cake that has been kept in the fridge must be consumed within 48 hours, if you have any doubt we recommend to taste before eating it or to contact the sales support team.
